Rotary Cap Applicator

Model Name: NERCA

Accurate. Dependable.

The New England Machinery, Rotary Cap Applicator (NERCA) –  is the ultimate solution for reliable in-line capping. The NERCA aligns caps perfectly every time, capping heads at high speeds. With this capping method you will never have crooked or skewed caps.

THE NERCA continuous motion, rotary device precisely caps onto containers and engages the threads before releasing the cap and container from the applicator. With torque control, it ensures consistent tightening across a wide range of caps handling plastic, glass containers, and plastic or metal caps.

Rotary Cap Placement System

Create a Rotary Cap Placement System – combine a NERCA with our Retorquer (NEPMT). Combine the functions of cap sorting, cap feeding, aligning and cap tightening in one system.

  • Caps are fed to a bulk supply hopper or sorting bowl and transported to the discharge chute
  • The orienting elevator allows correctly oriented caps to reach the discharge chute, while incorrectly oriented caps can’t leave the hopper
  • Caps exit the elevator and travel through the discharge chute to the upper star wheel where caps are transferred to the cap applicator
  • The containers enter the lower star wheel, are aligned directly below the caps and caps are placed directly onto the containers and rotated until the threads are engaged.
  • After the caps are placed on the containers they exit the cap applicator and are captured by running belts where the final torque is applied
