New England Machinery’s cap retorquing equipment provides peace of mind that caps exit the production line with the correct torque.

Due to industry demands, many manufacturers use induction sealing to prevent recalls, quarnatines due to loose caps, product spillage and contamination. Food and pharmaceutical companies often use induction sealing to keep their foods fresh or to offer consumers tamper evidence proof after purchase.

Closures used in these industries are often purchased with the foil lining applied inside the cap so containers can go directly through the induction heating process immediately after capping. This can be a challenge as the heat can loosen caps.

The NEM Cap Retorquer can re-tighten caps easily providing sufficient torque, reducing rework and manual tightening. This machine can also be used after manual placement of caps to tighten to the torque requirements.

With a wide range of capabilities, including capping machines such as flip tops and rotary cap applicator, our system ensures efficiency and reliability in packaging solutions.

Add the Readout Option NEPMT-R

The torque applied by the NEPMT-R will display on the HMI screen. This model also allows the operator to set a torque setpoint and/or high and low setpoints which can work in conjunction with an optional reject station.
